PicaJet build 396 destroy EXIF data completely while saving categories to IPTC fields.  and erase previously filled IPTC fields (build 395 don`t this).
2500+ pics broken
and...
after import files under thumbnails show EXIF (!) field "Image Title" instead IPTC field "caption".  Its wrong! However, after editing PJ field "Caption" results saving in IPTC field "caption" and displaying correctly...
and more...
Russian language file must contain these lines, not conversely:
AMUtils_FlashEnforceFired=Принудительно вспыхнула
AMUtils_FlashDidntFired=Не вспыхнула

It seems the metadata is not destroyed, it just does not show up after editing. Try looking at the metadata in another application or downgrade to version 395, and it should be fine. |

This is not my case. I don`t edit any metadata from PJ (Window->Metadata).
Take a look at this site http://amido.nm.ru
Original picture "P9050263.jpg" was resized (for internet) using Breeze Browser 2.9 and imported in PJ base. Then checked for valid EXIF info by Breeze Browser 2.9, Acdsee 7.0.62, Imatch 3.4.030, Pixvue 1.6.0. Then copied into second file "P9050263broken.jpg" which also imported into PJ.
From PJ file "P9050263broken.jpg" was selected and keyboard combination "ctrl-I" then "Ok" pressed. Next step - close PJ and starting validate EXIF info.
