I have a quite large category hierarchy which I save in the IPTC data (including category structure). When I import the files in a new album, all categories (also the higher level ones) are created as new categories on the highest level. For instance, I have Places -> USA -> California -> LA, then I get a category for USA, one for California, one for LA even if the hierarchy is present in the new album. What's going wrong here?

Actually IPTC keywords does not support hierarchy, so probably another application correct keywords and all keywords becomes linear.

Okay ... may be I explained it wrong. I used to save my metadata with the options "Save categories", "save category's parents" and "save category structure" switched on. When I re-imported those images into another album, the structure was kept and the images got sorted into the correct categories. After I downloaded and installed build 460, when I now save my metadata and re-import the images, all keywords become linear and new categories are created even if the right category exist in the hierarchy. To stick with the example. I assign the keyword "LA" which is in my hierarchy "Places -> USA -> California -> LA", I save the metadata using "Update EXIF/IPTC" (ctrl+I). Now I re-importt the image in a second album and it gets assigned the keywords "USA", "California", "LA" which are also new categories flat in the root of the hierarchy even if "Places -> USA -> California -> LA" exists. It worked fine with the previous build I was using (I guess it was 454).
