I copy my photos from my camera into a folder named the same as the current month. So I have
d:/photos/2006-01/
d:/photos/2006-02/
d:/photos/2006-03/
d:/photos/2006-04/
d:/photos/2006-05/
d:/photos/2006-06/ .. to 12
etc...
I just used PicaJet and created catagories and I organized the data.
Now I want to move some of those folders onto a DVD and erase them from my hard drive - - yet I want the PicaJet data base to retain the thumbnails and catagory assignments. Is that possible?
Also I want it to tell me what DVD it is on ... when I need the full size image again.
Can this be done???
Thanks,
Joe Mezz

| Yes. When you burn images to CD/DVD and choose "Move Files" option. PicaJet Relink database path to new location. All thumbnails, categories and other information will be on your PC. So when you want to see your images from this CD/DVD PicaJet ask you to insert suitable disk. |

I don't know if this problem has been fixed, but many times ago when I selected 1.5Gb of photos and wanted to burn them on a CD :
- PJ was not able to tell me how many CD's I needed.
- PJ was not able to burn the first CD. (Seems like PJ didn't split photos in 650/700Mb volumes in order to burn one of them per CD.) |

thanks, I look forward to testing that
What is the best way to handle things if I already have a few CD/DVS's full of photos? _________________ http://theMezz.com |
