What is the best way to backup your catalog and photos in one step?

I have picajet on my laptop but my collection has well surpassed 4000 photos. I would like to offload some or all of them on my home computer or perhaps copy and then burn to a DVD. my latpop does not have a dvd burner.

I have tried to backup the catalog but it only creates a copy of the database.

I know i can just copy my pictures folder to my home computer but is there a function inside picajet that automates backing up everything in one step the catalog, the pictures, and also keeps the thumbnails on the original computer for viewing and perhaps retrieving automatically if the network drive is available.

I hope this makes sense.
