|
|
Every time I try and burn a CD the system locks and I have to reboot.
I click on the Burn CD/DVD menu pick get the first dialogue box and then the hourglass and nothing.
I have a Dell 2300 with an NEC NR-9100A CD Drive and Easy CD Creator (5.3.5.10). If I copy the files to a temp folder and then drag to the CD in Explorer then they copy OK. |

I've downloaded the latest version (433).
Something new I have noticed is if I have a full CD in the drive I get the main 'BurnCD' dialogue box and very quickly a second. If I have a blank CD in the drive I get the main 'Burn CD' dialogue box then after 30 seconds rge CD light comes on but still nothing and then a very long wait (5 minutes) before anything else happens, if at all. If nothing happens and I use the Task Manager to close PicaJet then I cannot reopen the program unless I reboot.
I've attached a picture of the 'BurnCD' dialogue box hope this is what you require. I took this screen dump with no CD in the drive because as I mentioned with a blank CD the program just freezes.

Why would it have anything to do with the blank CD? They are all the same arent they? |

PicaJet freezes while getting information from blank CD. May be this is problem with special CD's.
Different CD have different write speed, different capacity, different manufacturer, it may be CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW. |

I use a generic brand which burn fine from explorer.
To eliminate the CD brand I tried it today with a FujiFilm CD-R and exactly the same, the program locks up and I have to restart. |
