If anyone is following this and want to know now the customer support is, Picajet and I have been sending things back and forth for several days now. We have yet to resolve the problem, but they are definitely trying.

OK folks, credit where credit is due. I decided to try Picajet again after changing graphics card. Installation worked immediately and the software is superb. With 13,000+ images (mostly architecture for my university studies) the program copes without a hitch. Still getting to grips with it all, but just shows perseverence can be worthwhile.
