Hi,
it became very quite in this forum. Also there was nearly an update
in the last months. So I do not believe in a new version anymore.
I looked for alternatives and found IDimager, see
www.idimager.com
During the migration one advantage of picajet was very obvious:
the stored keywords in the IPTC data.
So could import the images and build up the katalog relatively
quickly. The assignment of photos to categories is as easy as
with picajet, some ideas I like a bit more (e.g. last x assigned
categories).
IDimager is a bit more powerful (therefore it might appear a bit
more confusing), there is a very active community and I found
a lot of helpful entries in the forum. The author delivers every month
an small upgrade, i.e. there is still the chance to influence the
program.
For me the workflow from import of images from CF or SD cards
over the creation of meta data and the creation of copies of
selected images for further editing (IDimager knows version sets)
became with the switch easier.
May be you try it, it's free for a 30 days test period.
Good luck
